To ensure product authenticity and compliance with Indian wireless regulations, ibaofeng (Baofeng India) implements a strict serial-number-based verification system:

Unique Identification: Every authentic BAOFENG device sold through authorized channels in India is assigned a unique serial number under the ibaofeng brand name.

Mandatory for Support: A valid serial number is required for all warranty registrations, technical verification, and service support. Claims without a verifiable serial number will not be processed.

Regulatory Compliance: This system is specifically designed to prevent the illegal distribution of de-licensed, modified, or unauthorized radio devices that may violate Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) guidelines.

Counterfeit & Alteration Warning: Products identified with missing, altered, or duplicated serial numbers are ineligible for any warranty or service. Such devices may be flagged as unauthorized and are not supported by Baofeng India.

The serial number is mandatory for warranty registration, verification, and service support.
This serial-number-based system is implemented to prevent illegal sale and purchase of de-licensed, modified, or unauthorized devices.
Products found without a valid ibaofeng serial number, or with altered / duplicated serial numbers, are not eligible for warranty or service support.
